The student:teacher ratio is maintained at 12:1, typically with two teachers in each classroom.  Students are enrolled at three years of age in our Junior Pre-Kindergarten class.  Children graduate upon completing Grade 1, spending four academic years in Brooklyn Prep.  The progression in grade levels are: Junior Pre-K; Junior Kindergarten; Kindergarten: Grade 1.



Over the past four years, we used the Stanford Achievement Test Series (10th Edition) based on National PR - S.  Scores for reading indicate a 10 point increase since 2004-2005.  Math scores also reveal a significant increase from the 87th percentile in 2004-2005.  Our historical stats are as follows:

For measuring students' logical reasoning skills, we utilize OLSAT - OTIS - Lennon School Ability Test (8th Edition) based on the National PR - S.  Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning Skills scores total at 99-9.



Intracurricular activities include aerobics, organized team sports, swimming, and field trips to The Bronx Zoo, Green Meadows Farm, Brooklyn College Center for the Performing Arts, museums, and much more!
